We take the Eurostar service from London to Brussels where we join the high-speed rail service to Cologne. Our journey continues to Remagen where we’ll check in to our hotel for a five-night stay. Enjoy a welcome drink this evening before dinner.
Today we take the local train to Brohl and board the Vulkan Express. Our journey, through one of the most scenic valleys on the Rhine, takes us past castles and across viaducts as we climb into the Eifel Mountains. We alight in Engeln and take a connecting train to Burgbrohl for the first of our walks. Along the picturesque Trasshöhlen we see the Tonnissteiner mineral springs before reaching Brohl where we take the train to Remagen and enjoy a leisurely dinner.
