During your visit, Rouen Cathedral, famously painted by Claude Monet, is a delight to explore, particularly at this time of year when it’s adorned with traditional decorations, and the iconic Gros-Horloge astronomical clock, housed in a Renaissance arch overlooking a bustling street, is beautifully illuminated at night. As you stroll through the cobblestone streets of the city’s well-preserved medieval old town, you can stop to sample Norman dishes like duck confit or delicious Tarte Tatin at local bistros.

As you explore, savour traditional Belgian dishes like stoofvlees, beef stew made with beer; waterzooi, a creamy fish or chicken stew; and the famous frites and waffles at local restaurants. There will be opportunities to stroll through the renowned Diamond District as beautiful stones sparkle in shop windows or indulge in some of the world’s best chocolates at local chocolatiers. Alternatively, you can discover the Gothic Cathedral of Our Lady or admire the city’s magnificent Art Nouveau buildings.
