Day 1
Today, you’ll make your own way to the hotel located in Leeds’ lively city centre. With a host of restaurants, shops, and attractions right on your doorstep, you’ll be well-positioned to make the most of your time here.
If you’re arriving by train, Leeds train station is just a short walk from the hotel. Alternatively, if you’re driving, private parking for a fee can be arranged nearby or on the property of the hotel, dependent on the chosen hotel.
Unpack and get settled in before taking advantage of a free night to get acquainted with the surrounding area and find a spot for dinner.
Day 2
Once you’ve had breakfast, you’ll board the coach and experience an orientation tour of the enchanting city of York. Your tour manager will point out the imposing York Minster, a Gothic cathedral, the surrounding medieval City Walls and the picturesque street, Shambles, with its timber-framed buildings, some 600 years old.
You’ll then have the afternoon for self-exploration and to immerse yourself in the city’s Roman roots and Viking past. Traverse the narrow lanes at your own pace, visit some of the thirty world-class museums and art galleries, follow the trail along the walls to take in the impressive views or visit the famous Betty’s Café Tea Rooms. The coach will then pick you up and drop you back at the hotel, so you can relax and freshen up.
As night falls, you’ll be transferred to the First Direct Arena, where the spectacular André Rieu will perform. The Waltz King will be accompanied by his Johann Strauss Orchestra, choir, and soloists, as well as several special guests. This spectacular showcase promises to be filled with their trademark waltzes and beautiful melodies from opera, musicals, and film.
Later in the evening, you’ll be collected and dropped back at the hotel.
