Andre Rieu New Year's Concert in Amsterdam

Itinerary

Day 1

Fly from the UK - Fly to Amsterdam, meet your tour manager and transfer to your chosen hotel. You'll then have the rest of the day free to explore Amsterdam or to relax before tomorrow's excitement begins. For early arrivals, return coach transfers into Amsterdam will be available in the afternoon.

Day 2

Free time to explore Amsterdam and concert - After breakfast, travel to central Amsterdam, where you’ll have the morning and early afternoon free to shop and sightsee. Visit famous sights such as the Van Gogh Museum, the Royal Palace and the renowned Rijksmuseum before being dropped back at the hotel. In the evening, the coach will transfer you to the Ziggo Dome – Amsterdam's largest and most famous indoor concert venue – and you'll take your seat for a spectacular New Year's concert performance by André Rieu. The ‘Waltz King’ will be accompanied by his Johann Strauss Orchestra, choir and soloists, as well as several special guests, and the evening promises to be filled with their trademark waltzes, beautiful melodies from opera, musicals, film and classical music. After this not-to-be-missed experience, the coach will return you to the hotel.

Day 3

Visit to Volendam, free time in Amsterdam and optional Amsterdam Light Festival cruise - After breakfast, you’ll visit the nearby fishing town of Volendam, renowned for its harbour and traditional colourful Dutch houses. You can stroll around the port area with its lively seafood shops and restaurants, see the authentic wooden shoe workshops, and visit the Volendam Museum, showcasing the town’s history. The coach will then return to Amsterdam, and you can choose to get off and spend some time in the city or head back to the hotel. You can also opt to join a memorable canal cruise through Amsterdam’s glittering Light Festival. Step aboard your specialist cruiser, which features floor-to-ceiling windows and a glass roof to provide unobstructed views of the floating installations, before setting off along the city’s winding waterways. Along the way, you’ll witness 20 fascinating works of art lining the canal in the company of a knowledgeable local guide, who’ll explain the history, traditions and meaning behind this extraordinary spectacle. In the early evening, return to your hotel.

Day 4

Fly back to the UK - Following breakfast, you’ll head to the airport to board your flight home, taking with you a host of memories of a very special break and André Rieu's unforgettable New Year's concert.

The transfer time from Amsterdam airport to your hotel is approximately 15 minutes.

Concert tickets

The advertised price includes a 79€ face-value, CAT 4 seated ticket. Upgrades to 89€ face-value CAT 3, 109€ face-value CAT 2, 139€ face-value CAT 1 and 169€ face-value Premium tickets are available for supplements (upgrade prices will be displayed during the booking process and will include any booking and service fees). Please note this is an indoor concert, which will commence at approximately 7pm and will finish at about 9:45pm.

Concert information

It may be necessary to walk between the coach drop-off/pick-up points and the concert venue. Your show/event ticket(s) will be given to you by your Newmarket Tour Manager on the day.

Flight timings

At this time, exact outbound and inbound departure times have not been confirmed. Times shown are our best estimate based on current information. Final timings will be confirmed to you in your Final Travel Documents, approximately 10 days prior to departure, though we will make every effort to secure timings close to those indicated when you book.

Passport and ID documentation

Please note you will be asked to supply Passport or ID documentation details for each passenger at the time of booking or as soon thereafter.

Combining hotel transfers

We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Airport development fees

An Airport Development Fee has been introduced at a few UK Airports. You will be required to pay this charge at the following airports prior to checking in for your flight: Blackpool, Newquay and Norwich. The amount varies from airport to airport, but it is generally between £5 and £10 per person. Please visit the airport's website for further information.
