Itinerary

Day 1

Fly to Brussels from your chosen airport and meet your tour manager for a transfer to your hotel in Bruges. Alternatively, you may take the super-fast Eurostar train from London’s St Pancras International or Ebbsfleet International Station, through the Channel Tunnel to Brussels, then on by train to Bruges, and transfer upon arrival to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to spend as you wish, perhaps heading to a local restaurant for dinner, or spending the evening soaking up the atmosphere in one of the city’s many traditional pubs and cafés.

Day 2

Enjoy an included city tour of exquisite Bruges, one of the most enchanting places in all of Europe, especially when dressed for the festive season. Get into the Christmas spirit as you explore the centrally located Market Square, which boasts an ice rink and Christmas market stalls selling all manner of seasonal specialities – don't pass on waffles or warming glühwein during your visit. Of course, Bruges is famous for its chocolates and lace, and there will be plenty of 'stocking-filler' ideas to tempt you. After a fun-filled day of exploring the Christmas Markets, spend your evening at leisure, perhaps making the brief five-minute walk back to Market Square for dinner.

Day 3

This morning journey to Brussels for an included city tour. The Belgian capital is full of cheer at Christmas time, with the city's celebrated festive market a-buzz with locals and visitors alike. Browse the wonderfully decorated wooden chalets for unusual gift ideas, yuletide decorations and local delicacies, and at nightfall, enjoy a spectacular son et lumière lightshow on the famous Grand Place surrounded by a maze of narrow, cobbled streets. Return to spend a last evening in Bruges, perhaps dining out at a local restaurant.

Day 4

Bid farewell to your hosts after a memorable festive break in Belgium. Transfer back to either Brussels Airport or Bruges Train Station to begin your return journey.

Hotel transfer times

The transfer time from the airport to your hotel is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Luggage Allowance

This holiday only includes hand luggage on your flights. Additional hold luggage allowance can be purchased direct from the airline when you check in for your flight.

Combining hotel transfers

We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Itinerary changes

Occasionally, for operational reasons, we may have to change the order of the excursions on your holiday. The final day-by-day itinerary will be confirmed on your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive approximately three weeks prior to your departure.

Changes to your hotels

Should circumstances require, we reserve the right to accommodate you in alternative hotels, of a similar standard, nearby. Full details of your hotels will be sent with your Final Travel Documents.
