Kalundborg, Denmark

The pretty little port-city of Kalundborg nestles beneath the five-spired shadow of the Church of Our Lady on the west coast of Zealand, almost exactly opposite Copenhagen on Zealand's east coast. As Magellan calls here you'll have the chance to join an optional shore excursion taking you across the island to stroll the Danish capital's stylish streets and the sculpted walkways of the Tivoli Gardens, see the bronze figure of the Little Mermaid beside the harbour and perhaps stop for a drink at one of Nyhavn's many waterside bars.

Warnemunde, Germany

This morning Magellan arrives in Warnemunde. Discover the port's charming gabled houses and historic Neuer Markt, or join the optional excursion to Berlin to explore the city's highlights - from the Brandenburg Gate and the 1926 Olympic Stadium to Hitler's Bunker and Checkpoint Charlie.

Ronne, Denmark

Today we visit the pretty port-town of Ronne, situated on the Danish island of Bornholm. This attractive town is a hugely popular destination for Scandinavian visitors. Discover St Torv market and the half-timbered and newer brick-built houses, or visit the fascinating museum that showcases the island’s history of grandfather-clock-making.

Visby, Sweden

Depart: 2100hrs
Magellan's second Baltic island call is at the Swedish island of Gotland. Discover its UNESCO-listed capital, Visby, a medieval treasure trove of wooden cottages, cobbled streets and Gothic churches, or head out of the town to explore a pristine land of tranquil countryside and fine beaches.
Day 7
Nynashamn, Sweden

Depart: 1800hrs
Magellan will call at Nynashamn, this morning, and you’ll have the chance to head to Stockholm on an optional shore excursion. Best explored on foot, the Swedish capital spans 14 islets and boasts a wonderful mix of historic sights and fine city parks. Its ancient heart is Gamla Stan, a beguiling labyrinth of cobbled streets, shops, cafes and restaurants.
Day 8
Klaipeda, Lithuania
Arrive: 1200hrs
Depart: 2000hrs
Today Magellan reaches Klaipeda, Lithuania’s third-largest city. Discover its unspoilt old town of half-timbered houses, cafes and gift shops, or choose to venture further afield to see the vast sand dunes of the Curonian Spit National Park.

Gdansk, Poland

Depart: 1700hrs
Step ashore in Gdansk, one of Poland’s most sparkling jewels, to see its medieval centre and its bustling waterfront. See towering, red-brick St Mary’s Church and explore the shops and cafes along colourful Long Market.

Newcastle was once among the most vibrant centres of the British Industrial Revolution, and has now evolved into one of England's most energetic and exciting cities. Some of your newfound friends will disembark and finish their journey here, and you'll have some time to explore before beginning the final leg of your cruise.
