Mighty Waterfalls & Norwegian Fjords
Set off to Norway’s fjordland during spring and embrace ample time to soak up the country’s most beautiful scenery. Sail past natural wonders, waterfalls, and soaring clifftops, all in full bloom, onboard Borealis. Highlights will include the famous Pulpit Rock, as you divert into Lysefjord, sailing onwards along the fjords of Hardangerfjord and Maurangerfjord, passing the thundering Furebergfossen waterfall before reaching Naeroyfjord, a UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site.
Ashore, you’ll get to join excursions to small villages backed by flower-laden mountains. Upon arriving within Hardangerfjord, you’ll be able to visit Eidfjord, known for its orchards, where you can sip on the sweet juices and ciders produced from the local fruits. The more active can journey on a kayaking adventure, allowing you to take in more of the natural splendours. A stop at Flåm features a ride on the Flåmsbana Railway – one of the best train journeys in the world, with many moments to capture some photographs. You can then learn about the Viking history of Haugesund, venture deeper into the surrounding countryside, and possibly take a trip up to Norway’s best waterfall – Langfossen.
