Itinerary

Day 1

Meet your friendly tour manager and transfer to your hotel on the Costa Maresme. The rest of the day is yours to spend how you wish, perhaps relaxing at the hotel, or maybe exploring the pretty town of Calella.

Day 2

An optional excursion today brings the chance to visit the fabled monastery at Montserrat. A centuries-old palace of pilgrimage, the mountainside monastery is accessible by winding road, rack railway or cable-car. The views from its lofty perch are outstanding. Alternatively, spend the day at leisure, exploring your new surroundings or relaxing at your hotel. Tonight, a special gala dinner will be served at your hotel. See in 2021 in the company of fellow guests as you spend an enjoyable evening at the gala.

Day 3

Happy new year! Rest and relax over breakfast, before a scenic morning tour of Costa Brava, known as the ‘Wild Coast’, reveals quaint fishing towns, golden beaches, hidden coves and rocky outcrops. Return to your hotel for a special New Year’s Day lunch, before spending the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 4

This morning, join your friendly, knowledgeable tour manager for an included visit to colourful Barcelona. The wonderful Catalan capital is one of Europe's 'must-see' cities, with Gaudi's staggering La Sagrada Familia cathedral, the exquisite Gothic Quarter, the renowned pedestrian street La Rambla, and the sites of the 1992 Olympic Games amongst the highlights. Don't miss the chance to hunt for unique souvenirs in a city famous known for shopping.

Day 5

Transfer to Barcelona airport for check-in and your flight home.

Hotel transfer times

The transfer time from the airport to your hotel is approximately one hour and 15 minutes.

Combining hotel transfers

We sometimes need to combine transfers to and from your hotel. We always try to keep any wait to a minimum, but you may be asked to wait at the airport for up to an hour, while other incoming flights arrive, before the transfer to your hotel. Similarly, we may need to transfer you back to the airport up to three hours before your flight home departs.

Special requirements

If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.

Disabled access

The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Itinerary changes

Occasionally, for operational reasons, we may have to change the order of the excursions on your holiday. The final day-by-day itinerary will be confirmed on your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive approximately three weeks prior to your departure.

Changes to your hotels

Should circumstances require, we reserve the right to accommodate you in alternative hotels, of a similar standard, nearby. Full details of your hotels will be sent with your Final Travel Documents.
