Summertime in the Fjords Cruise
The majesty of the fjords
As summer ends, Columbus cruises north from Tilbury, heading to the spectacular coastline of Western Norway. Drift lazily through some of the world’s most breathtaking scenery as Columbus follows the twisting course of Hardangerfjord to the pretty waterside town of Eidfjord, and navigates the length of Norway’s longest fjord on her way to Flam. You'll also visit two of Europe’s most historic port-cities - crossing the Channel to begin your adventures with a day amid friendly Rotterdam's striking modern buildings, and rounding off your time in the fjords with a call in the lovely regional capital, Bergen.Make the most of hoped for late-summer sunshine and the excellent facilities on board Columbus during lazy days at sea, and step ashore to explore the deep forests and towering mountains of the fjords on optional shore excursions to hidden waterfalls and across the vast landscape on a mountain train.
