Itinerary
Day 1
You fly to the spectacular city of Dubrovnik and on arrival you’ll be taken to your magnificent ship, moored in this ancient port where the warmest of welcomes from your professional captain and crew awaits you on board your ship. The rest of the day is free for you to settle into your cabin and explore this exceptional vessel; perhaps take in the views on the sun deck and the fresh sea breeze or wander ashore for a little stroll along the quayside. Whatever you decide, it’s time to relax and unwind as your holiday has truly begun! It won’t be long before it’s time to meet your fellow travellers for a welcome drink in the bar before taking dinner in the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere of the ship’s restaurant.
Day 2
As the sun rises above the terracotta rooftops of this magical city, and glints on the crystal-clear Adriatic, it’s time to rise refreshed and enjoy your first leisurely breakfast as we set sail on our Dalmatian adventure. Head up on deck and enjoy the thrill of being at sea, as you gaze out on to a sparkling horizon, a blanket of dazzling turquoise, stretching as far as the eye can see; lean against the gleaming rail and drink in the crisp salty air, and let your mind completely unwind as our sleek vessel effortlessly slices the effervescing waves. This is one of the most spectacular and unspoilt coastlines in the world, where velvet swathes of pine forest tumble down to the rugged rocky shores, fringed by quiet coves and sleepy fishing villages, a cluster of honey-coloured stone buildings and tiny shady streets where time seems to have almost stood still. We drop anchor to enjoy a refreshing swim stop and you’ll love the experience of swimming off the platform area at the back of the ship as if it were your very own private yacht, before wrapping up in your complimentary robe and drying off on a sun lounger on the pristine sun deck! Thoughts soon turn to lunch so reconvene with your fellow passengers in the restaurant and enjoy the views through the panoramic windows as we sail towards the charming town of Korčula and disembark for a walking tour. Ruled by the Venetians for 800 years, though much smaller, it will remind you of Dubrovnik, with its host of tangled lanes so typical of medieval Mediterranean ports. The town is a charming small fortress, celebrated for supplying timber for the wooden walls of Venice and its harbour was a major shelter for the Venetian fleet. You’ll find architectural gems at every turn in its narrow, cobbled streets. Famous for its artistic and musical traditions, Koruna has its own unique sword dance, the ‘moreska’, and a form of a-capella singing, but it is much more famous as the birthplace of the explorer Marco Polo. His house can still be visited, as can the All Saints Museum with its superb collection of Byzantine icons. Return to the ship in time to relax over an aperitif on the terrace before enjoying dinner at leisure ashore.

At 48.5 metres the graceful MV Markan can easily slide into the most picturesque little ports along this stretch of coast with ease, affording you the convenience of hopping off straight on to the quayside, and right into the heart of each destination.
Take to the sun deck, with shaded area, where you can lie back on a sun lounger taking in the 360-degree views before enjoying a dip in the jacuzzi or off the platform at the back of the ship to swim in the calm waters of an unspoilt little bay. Dine in the informal and stylish restaurant area, then order your favourite cocktail from the bar and strike up conversation with your fellow guests. Sink into a cosy sofa on the inviting terrace area, sipping a coffee or an after-dinner drink as the sun goes down.
You’ll feel completely relaxed in your beautiful cabin, with chic furniture and bedlinen, contemporary lighting, smart wooden flooring, a sparkling bathroom and plenty of space to unwind. All fully air-conditioned cabins feature a double bed which can be separated to be configured as a twin, and are equipped with desk and chair, wardrobe, safe, hairdryer, TV, and ensuite bathroom with shower, plus free Wi-Fi on board. Cabins on the Upper deck feature a private outside balcony, whilst all other cabins have fixed windows.
