Day 1 Arrive in Halifax Nova Scotia

Day 2 Historic Lunenburg and Peggy’s Cove
A fabulous start to your tour with a journey to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg where you will see the best surviving example of a planned British colonial settlement in North America. Hear tales of the sea and its influence on this regions people and economy. Then return to Halifax including a stop in picturesque Peggy’s Cove, situated on the rocky cliffs of St Margaret’s Bay. Enjoy a highlight dinner at Le Bistro by Liz with live music (Includes Breakfast & dinner)

Day 3 Halifax sightseeing
Enjoy a relaxed start to the day before visiting the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Listen to stories of the key historical events of the city, including the Halifax Explosion and the Titanic. Next join a local expert for an exploration of this cosmopolitan, eclectic city. Travel to the local cemetery where many of the Titanic victims were laid to rest, then visit the beautiful Halifax Public Gardens and bustling harbour-front. Your city tour ends after a visit to the massive Halifax Citadel, formerly one of the principal naval bases of the British Empire. The rest of the day is at your leisure (Includes Breakfast).

Day 4 Halifax, Cape Breton Island and Baddeck
Today take the scenic journey to stunning Cape Breton Island. On the way enjoy a visit to the Millbrook Cultural and Heritage Centre to learn about the Mi’kmaq heritage and Glooscap legends. Learns a few words from the Mi’kmaq language and admire bead and quill artefacts. Continue along the Canso Causeway to Cape Breton Island, home to friendly locals, Gaelic traditions and stunning landscapes. Arrive in Baddeck and enjoy a boat cruise* on Bras d’Or Lake Canada’s only inland sea. Observe the majestic Bald Eagles circling the boat and take in the beautiful shoreline. This evening experience Cape Breton-style home cooking at your hotel. (Includes Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 5 The Cabot Trail
Today enjoy a unique experience at the Gaelic College, devoted to the study and preservation of the Gaelic language and Celtic arts & culture. Learn about fabric milling and kilt making. You will then take the break-taking Cabot Trail – one of the world’s most renowned scenic drives, carved into the edge of highlands that cascade down into the sea. Keep your eyes open for moose and bald eagle as you journey through the cliffs and canyons of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, and search for whales in the Gulf of St Lawrence. In the evening, engage in traditional music and song whilst soaking up Cape Breton hospitality (Includes Breakfast & Lunch)

Day 6 Baddeck, the Wood Islands Ferry and Charlottetown
This morning, experience a special ‘white glove' visit at the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site. Behind the scenes you will dive deep into the private life of one of the most influential figures in history. Hold Bell's favourite walking stick and notebook. Pick up model kites and airplanes, items used to create Canada's first airplane, the Silver Dart. The travel through the scenic Nova Scotian countryside, viewing little farms, glittering stretches of blue water and rocky headlands. Cross the Northumberland Strait to magical Prince Edward Island and arrive in quaint Charlottetown. This evening enjoy dinner with your fellow travellers. (Includes Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 7 Charlottetown Sightseeing
Today take a guided tour of Prince Edward Island with a local expert. Begin in Prince Edward Island National Park with its sand dunes, waving beach grass and striking red sandstone cliffs. Visit the Green Gables House in Cavendish. This fabled house provided inspiration for L.M. Montgomery’s beloved children’s classic, Anne of Green Gables. Return to Charlottetown where you will be met by a local knowledge keeper at the Abegweit Mi’Kmaw Nation and learn about the Seven Sacred Teachings and how it guides the Mi?kmaq people. Day 8 Charlottetown at leisure
Enjoy a relaxed start and a day at leisure in the delightful city of Charlottetown. Take time to walk through Victoria Park and along its beautiful waterfront boardwalk, explore the historic downtown, walk the pedestrian Victoria row or head for Peake’s Wharf at the waterfront (Includes Breakfast)

Day 9 Saint John
Drive across the modern Confederation Bridge to Shediac, where an unforgettable culinary experience awaits. You will cruise the waters of Shediac Bay on-board a lobster boat*. Feast on a lobster lunch whilst learning all about these fascinating sea creatures. Head to the Bay of Fundy and Hopewell Rocks, home to the world’s highest and wildest tides. Depending on the time you visit, Hopewell Rocks can either be stories high or virtually swallowed by the sea (Includes Breakfast & Lunch

Day 10 Saint John to Digby
After the American Revolution, Saint John welcomed some 14,000 American British supporters and was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1785, making it Canada's first incorporated city. This morning explore its vibrant past with a tour through the charming streets of the beautiful waterfront uptown. Then board a ferry heading for the opposite side of the Bay of Fundy and Saint John's sister community of Digby, Nova Scotia. Digby is famous for its fishing fleet and the delicious scallops harvested from its waters. (Includes Breakfast)

Day 11 Digby and Annapolis Royal
An awe-inspiring start to your day with a whale watching excursion on the Bay of Fundy. Spot rare species of whales like the Humpback, Finback and Right Whales, plus dolphins, porpoises and seabirds. In the afternoon, enjoy a short journey to the small town of Annapolis Royal, rich with Acadian Culture. This historic community nestled in the Annapolis Valley, originally inhabited by a strong Mi'kmaq community, started in 1605 as a home to some of North America's earliest European settlers. Return to your hotel and enjoy a Celebration Dinner to commemorate your Canadian Maritimes adventure. (Includes Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 12 Halifax and home
After breakfast, return to Halifax. Stops will be made at Halifax International Airport and the Halifax tour hotel for guests wishing to extend their stay. Arrival at the airport is around midday.
